Responsibilities

Architect and own AWS / Azure / GCP landing zones for the company's most strategic accounts — multi-account / multi-subscription topology, hub-spoke networking, identity federation and unified observability. Lead Kubernetes platform engineering at production scale across AWS / Azure / GCP (EKS / AKS / GKE): cluster lifecycle, platform add-ons, IRSA / Workload Identity, service mesh, OPA / Kyverno policy, and progressive-delivery patterns (canary, blue-green, traffic-shifting). Set the CI/CD direction for the engineering organisation — pick the right toolchain per client / product, design reusable workflow libraries, and gate higher environments on signed-artefact promotion. Lead AWS Well-Architected, Azure WAF or GCP Architecture-Framework reviews with client architects; document findings; own remediation plans across operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, cost and sustainability pillars. Set the DevSecOps and FinOps bar for the engineering organisation — runtime threat detection, SIEM correlation, monthly cost-anomaly reviews, and quarterly compliance reporting against ISO 27001 / SOC 2 / PCI-DSS / HIPAA / RBI / SEBI. Mentor 4-8 mid-level engineers, lead architecture review boards, run blameless post-incident reviews and represent the company at AWS / Microsoft / Google partner days.

Requirements & qualifications

7+ years of DevOps / Platform Engineering, with 4+ years on AWS / Azure / GCP and 3+ years operating production Kubernetes at scale. Architectural thinking — landing zones, multi-region active-active, identity federation, FinOps. Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting trade-offs to client architects and engineering leadership. Cloud Professional / Expert certifications expected.
