Responsibilities

Design, build and own production-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for the front-end (ReactJS) and back-end services running on AWS — including blue/green deploys, canary stages and automated rollback when SLO regressions are detected. Provision the full AWS estate as code with Terraform: EKS clusters, EC2 fleets, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, VPC, ALB / NLB, KMS, Secrets Manager, WAF and Route 53. Maintain modules in a Sanofi-internal Terraform registry, peer-review every PR, and run drift detection on the production state. Operate Amazon EKS at scale: cluster auto-scaling, networking via the AWS VPC CNI, IAM roles for service accounts, OPA / Gatekeeper policies, secrets injection, image signing and admission control. Plan and execute zero-downtime EKS minor-version upgrades quarterly. Build and run the MLOps platform that the R&D data-science teams use for model training, deployment, monitoring and retraining — orchestrated across SageMaker, MLflow, EKS-hosted KServe, and Snowflake-backed feature stores. Implement comprehensive observability — CloudWatch metrics and logs, Prometheus + Grafana for cluster and application telemetry, OpenTelemetry traces, and PagerDuty for on-call. Define and review SLOs with product owners every sprint. Enforce healthcare-grade security: IAM least-privilege, WAF rules, Secrets Manager rotation, KMS encryption at rest and in transit, container image scanning, and full audit trails for GxP and GDPR compliance reviews. Automate hybrid AWS ↔ Snowflake data pipelines, ensuring data quality, lineage, and access governance through Snowflake roles, masking policies and row-access policies. Participate in architecture review boards, mentor mid-level DevOps engineers, lead post-incident reviews, and drive a continuous cost-optimisation programme covering Savings Plans, Spot, Graviton migration and rightsizing.

Requirements & qualifications

6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years focused on DevOps / Platform Engineering on AWS. Deep working knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes / EKS, GitHub Actions and at least one scripting language (Python or Bash) at automation-quality level. Production experience operating Amazon EKS clusters with 50+ nodes, including upgrades, networking and security hardening. Hands-on with at least one MLOps or data platform: SageMaker, MLflow, Snowflake, Kubeflow or KServe. Working understanding of regulated software environments — GxP, GDPR, SOX or HIPAA — and the audit / change-control implications they bring. ReactJS familiarity sufficient to debug a CI pipeline that produces a SPA build. AWS Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional certification preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal English communication; comfortable with global Agile teams across France, Germany, India and the US.
