Responsibilities

Architect and operate enterprise-grade GCP landing zones — folder hierarchy, projects, VPC Service Controls, Private Service Connect, Cloud DNS and Identity-Aware Proxy — for clients across BFSI, retail and public sector. Design and run production GKE clusters with Anthos Service Mesh, Workload Identity, Pod Security standards, Binary Authorization for image-signing enforcement, and Config Sync for GitOps-driven configuration. Stand up CI/CD pipelines in Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy with reusable substitution templates, secret-pulling from Secret Manager, image-signing via Cosign / Binary Authorization, and ArgoCD-driven application deployment into GKE. Author Terraform modules for the full GCP catalogue — VPC, GKE, Cloud SQL, Memorystore, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow — and contribute back to the Reflections internal module library. Operate Google-Cloud-native observability: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace and Cloud Profiler. Define SLOs jointly with product teams and review them quarterly. Lead DevSecOps adoption — SAST / SCA / IaC scanning in Cloud Build, secret-scanning, image-scanning via Container Analysis, and Cloud Armor + Identity-Aware Proxy at the edge. Drive cost-optimisation initiatives — committed-use discounts, sustained-use discounts, GKE Autopilot adoption where appropriate, BigQuery slot management, and rolling FinOps reviews with client engagement leads. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to internal GCP study circles, and represent Reflections at GCP regional events and partner days.

Requirements & qualifications

3-8 years of DevOps / Platform engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on Google Cloud Platform. Production Kubernetes / GKE experience including cluster upgrades, networking, IAM (Workload Identity) and security hardening. Strong Terraform; comfortable across multi-project GCP setups with separate state per environment. Hands-on Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions and Cloud SQL. Working scripting in Python or Go. DevSecOps awareness — Container Analysis, Binary Authorization, secret-scanning, IaC scanning. Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification preferred. Excellent written communication; comfortable in a client-facing role.
