Responsibilities

Architect and operate the Azure landing zones for Luxoft's largest BFSI and capital-markets clients — management groups, subscription topology, hub-and-spoke networking, Azure Firewall, Private DNS zones, and Conditional Access integration. Design and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters at production scale: cluster autoscaler, KEDA-based event-driven autoscaling, Application Gateway Ingress Controller, Azure CNI overlay networking, Azure AD Workload Identity, and Pod Security standards. Author infrastructure modules in both Bicep (for Azure-native projects) and Terraform (for cross-cloud-portable work), and own the module-promotion pipeline that publishes them into the Luxoft Internal Registry. Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions, with reusable templates, secret-pulling from Azure Key Vault, image signing, and SBOM generation. Roll out GitOps via ArgoCD with environment promotion through git PRs and ApplicationSets for fleet-scale deployments. Add a service mesh (Istio) where regulated-industry mTLS and fine-grained traffic policies are required. Stand up Azure-native observability: Azure Monitor metrics, Log Analytics workspaces, Application Insights for app-level traces, and integration with Splunk for the BFSI clients that mandate it. Lead DevSecOps adoption — Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Defender for Containers, secret scanning in CI, and Sentinel-based SIEM correlation. Own quarterly compliance reports against ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI-DSS where relevant. Mentor 2-4 junior engineers, lead post-incident reviews, and contribute to Luxoft's internal Azure community of practice.

Requirements & qualifications

6-12 years of DevOps / Platform engineering experience with at least 4 years in Azure and at least 2 years operating production AKS. Strong Bicep AND Terraform; comfortable picking the right tool for the right scope. Production CI/CD in Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions, including reusable templates and secret-management. Hands-on with Helm and at least one of ArgoCD / FluxCD; service-mesh production experience (Istio preferred) is a strong plus. Working knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, peering, Private Endpoints, Front Door, Application Gateway) and identity (Azure AD, Workload Identity, Conditional Access). Programming in C# or Python at automation-quality level. DevSecOps awareness: Defender for Cloud, secret-scanning, image scanning, SBOM, runtime policies. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and / or DevOps Engineer Expert preferred.
