Responsibilities

Engage with Capgemini's portfolio of global enterprise clients (BFSI, retail, telecom, public sector, life sciences) to design, build and operate AWS landing zones, account-vending pipelines and reusable platform components. Author Terraform and CloudFormation modules for the full AWS catalogue — VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS / Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, Step Functions, Kinesis — and contribute back to the Capgemini internal module library used by 20,000+ engineers. Stand up and operate Amazon EKS clusters for client workloads, including Helm-packaged platform add-ons, IRSA, OPA / Gatekeeper policy bundles, and cluster-mesh patterns for multi-region active-active deployments. Implement DevSecOps controls aligned to the Capgemini Cloud Security Reference Architecture: image and IaC scanning in CI, runtime threat detection (GuardDuty, Falco), centralised audit logging, and continuous compliance against CIS / NIST / PCI / HIPAA benchmarks. Build and run CI/CD pipelines for client product teams using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps — whichever the client has standardised on. Define golden-path templates so that new applications can be production-deployable within a few days. Lead AWS Well-Architected reviews with client architects, document findings, and own remediation plans against operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, cost optimisation and sustainability pillars. Drive cost-optimisation programmes — Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot, Graviton migration, image and instance rightsizing — and produce monthly executive reports showing realised savings. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to internal university-style training programmes, and represent Capgemini at AWS regional events, hackathons and partner days.

Requirements & qualifications

2+ years for engineer roles, 5+ years for senior, 8+ years for lead, 12+ years for principal architect. Levels are matched at the offer stage. Hands-on AWS experience covering at least 8 of the major services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, EKS or ECS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch). At principal level, depth across 20+ services is expected. Strong Terraform and CloudFormation; comfortable writing reusable modules and reviewing other engineers' plans. Working Kubernetes / EKS experience for engineer level and above; production EKS ownership for senior and above. At least one CI/CD platform mastered end-to-end (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). DevSecOps awareness — image scanning, secrets management, IAM design, audit logging. AWS Solutions Architect Associate / Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional certifications strongly preferred. Senior + roles typically require Professional-level cert. B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / equivalent.
