Razorpay is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Bengaluru for Agent Studio, owning merchant relationships and building production AI agents for payment workflows.

You run discovery, identify the real business constraint, write the agent spec, build the first version, measure whether it moved the target metric and then expand. Responsibilities

<ul><li>Own merchant conversations from discovery and workshops through solution reviews and rollout check-ins</li><li>Study how merchant work is actually done and reconcile conflicting signals into a clear problem statement</li><li>Turn merchant problems into agent specs covering metrics, data sources, tool calls, guardrails and human approval points</li><li>Build prototypes, connectors, MCP tool specs, eval fixtures and dashboards to get agents into production</li><li>Troubleshoot broken integrations spanning Razorpay's platform, merchant systems, third-party tools and model behaviour</li><li>Set quality gates and outcome metrics before launch, then fix or retire agents based on evidence</li><li>Turn repeated patterns into reusable Agent Studio connectors, templates and eval packs</li></ul>

Requirements & qualifications

<ul><li>3+ years shipping production software, with strong Python or TypeScript</li><li>Experience working directly with customers, enterprise stakeholders or operators</li><li>Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, authentication, data pipelines and debugging live systems</li><li>Practical LLM or agent experience such as prompts, tool calling, RAG, evals or workflow automation</li><li>Clear writing for specs, implementation plans and follow-ups</li><li>Pluses: payments or fintech background, MCP or multi-agent experience, and enterprise integration work</li></ul>

<p>The role combines solution consulting with hands-on agent engineering in a domain where outcomes are measurable, such as dispute win rates or settlement delays. You own both the merchant relationship and the code, which is the core of forward deployed work.
