OpenTelemetry + Observability SRE Fresher Bengaluru June 2026 — Mphasis LGTM Stack

About the role

Mphasis Bengaluru is hiring 2024-2026 freshers and 1-year-experienced engineers for the Observability SRE track — instrumenting Fortune-100 client applications with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir).

OpenTelemetry has become the de-facto standard for observability in 2026, and Mphasis is building a dedicated Observability SRE practice in Bengaluru. The 8-week paid bootcamp covers OpenTelemetry SDKs in Java, Python, Node.js and Go; OTel Collector configuration; the LGTM stack (Loki for logs, Grafana for dashboards, Tempo for traces, Mimir for metrics); SLO / SLI definition and error-budget engineering; eBPF-based observability with Pixie; and continuous profiling with Pyroscope.

Responsibilities

Instrument client microservices with OpenTelemetry SDKs. Deploy and tune OTel Collectors at the edge. Build Grafana dashboards that combine metrics, logs and traces. Define SLOs and write error-budget policies. Investigate production incidents with distributed traces. Reduce monitoring spend through aggregation and sampling.

Requirements & qualifications

BE / BTech / MCA passout 2024-2026 with 65%+. Solid programming in at least one of Java / Python / Node.js / Go. Linux fluency. Curiosity about distributed systems. Strong written English for SLO documentation and on-call hand-offs.

Observability engineers are now considered specialist SREs and earn premium salaries. OpenTelemetry is mandatory knowledge for 2026 — every major cloud and APM vendor supports it. You learn the LGTM stack, which most banks are migrating to.
